Predniderm 120 ml

Predniderm is an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory skin cream containing neomycin and prednisolone.

Pharmacodynamics

Neomycin is an antibiotic belonging to the aminoglycoside family. It is obtained from Streptomyces fradiae. Its spectrum of activity includes Gram-positive bacteria; particularly staphylococci, and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli. Neomycin binds to the 30 S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, disturbing the lecture of messenger RNA and thus inhibiting protein synthesis. In addition to its bacteriostatic effect, neomycin has been shown to damage the bacterial wall when administered in high concentrations, making the antibiotic bactericidal as well as bacteriostatic.

Prednisolone is a steroidal anti-inflammatory belonging to the family of glucocorticoids. It is mainly used for its anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive and anti-allergic properties.

For external use only. Apply a small amount of cream to the wound two to three times a day, depending on the severity.
