CN Convalescence

When is a convalescence diet useful?

Sometimes dogs need a more concentrated diet because they cannot eat enough of a normal food to get all the nutrients they need. This could be because they have difficulty eating, have a poor appetite or because they have particularly high energy and nutrient requirements, such as:

after surgery
when recovering from illness or injury
pregnant or nursing bitches
malnourished dogs (e.g. due to starvation or illness)

As well as feeding the right type of food, feeding little and often and/or warming the food can encourage the dog to eat.

PURINA^® PRO PLAN^® VETERINARY DIETS Canine CN Convalescence is a highly palatable and digestible complete veterinary diet, with a high nutrient density. It is particularly useful for convalescing or malnourished dogs such as those recovering from illness or injury, and dogs which require more intense nutrition such as nursing bitches.
